My Story
I’ve been a photographer my whole life, driven by a deep passion for capturing the beauty of the world and the stories it holds. My journey has taken me across the diverse landscapes of Southern Africa, including Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Zanzibar, the DRC, and Mauritius, as well as international assignments in New York, Denmark, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
One of the greatest honours of my career was being commissioned to photograph Nelson Mandela in 1996. I’ve also had the privilege of working with the Springbok rugby team, two experiences that shaped my perspective on history, culture, and storytelling.
My adventurous spirit is backed by a lifetime of exploration and experience - from over-landing Africa and undergoing military training to earning qualifications in scuba diving and martial arts. I’ve led countless photographic tours and safaris, both nationally and internationally, sharing my love of wildlife, landscapes, and the outdoors with others.
Thunder Safaris is the culmination of this lifelong journey. My passion for history, Africa, and adventure continues to inspire every tour I create. It’s not only about seeing extraordinary places, but about experiencing them fully - the sights, the sounds, the culture, and the untamed wild.
Come along for the adventure. I look forward to sharing it with you.
